The Zacuto EVF is a 3.2” high resolution monitor that is used in conjunction with all the Z-Finder models. The EVF is compatible with all cameras that have an HDMI output including the Panasonic AF-100, Sony F3, RED ONE, RED Scarlet and RED Epic. The EVF allows you to operate the DSLR camera or any camera with an HDMI port, with the correct form factor for video with the camera "in-line" to your rod system (the most stable way) and your eye in the Z-Finder offset. This is the way all film cameras and ENG video cameras were operated and we, at Zacuto, believe this should be the way DSLR cameras should be operated. It will enhance the stability, give you better resolution, allow you to get your eye where it most comfortably needs to be, enable low mode shooting, shorten your camera package, have your EVF in the back of a dolly or crane, detached from the rig for car shots and more.

Zacuto has two items to help with stability when shooting with the iPhone 3G, 3Gs and now the iPhone 4. We have the Zgrip Iphone Pro and Jr. With the Zgrip iPhone Jr., you have many of the same features of its big brother, Zgrip iPhone Pro minus the adjustability. The Zgrip iPhone Pro has more adjustability but both give you the key feature which is stability when shooting with the iPhone 3Gs and now the iPhone 4.
Zgrip iPhone Jr. is a handgrip system for shooting professional stable video using the iPhone. The iPhone snaps into the iPhone cradle which is attached to the handgrip. The handgrip has a ¼ 20” thread on the bottom so you can mount it to a tripod. It also has a ¼ 20” thread on the top for mounting accessories such as a light.

It offers 2.5x focusable magnification (3x is available),a 40mm diameter Zacuto optical designed lens, an anti-fog coating protective cover, an eyecup preventing extraneous light leakage, a diopter and a field of view perfectly matched to 3” LCD screens. The diopter allows you to dial in the focus to match your eye. If you need extra focal point you can use the Z-Finder Extender Frames. The Z-Finder Pro 2.5x has a diopter range of -4.75 and up (unlimited with extender frames). These are semi-permanently stackable frames that attach to the skirt of the Z-Finder Pro and extend the Z-Finder glass further way from the LCD screen for people who are farsighted.

The Gorilla Plate is used in both of our Gorilla Kits (Striker and Target Shooter) and must be used with the Z-Finder Pro.
The Z-Finder V2 will also work with this plate! You must also purchase a frame to mount your V2 onto the Gorilla Plate. The Gorilla plate attaches to your camera using the standard tripod screw hole. You can also mount your tripod plate underneath the Gorilla plate so you can quickly go from handheld to tripod use. For mounting the Gorilla plate to the tripod, it has (2) ¼ 20” screw holes and a locking pin hole. The Z-Finder frame attaches to the Gorilla plate using two thumb screws.
The thumb screws and slider are not included with the Gorilla Plate; they are included with the Z-Finder Frames. The frame can be removed by loosening the thumb screws and pulling up on the frame.
