The Zacuto Mini Baseplate (Z-M-UB) is a smaller version of the Zacuto Universal Baseplate (Z-UB3). The Mini Baseplate has many of the same features as the Universal Baseplate but was designed for use with smaller DSLR cameras such as the Nikon D90, Canon 5d Mark II. The Mini Baseplate can also be used with Midsized flat bottom cameras like the Panasonic HPX170, HVX200, Sony EX1, and other cameras of this size as well as Small HD cameras like the Canon HV20, HV30, and so forth.
The Mini Baseplate mounts to the camera with a 1/4 20" screw and a locking pin and it attaches to the tripod plate with both 3/8 16" and 1/4 20" screws. The Mini Baseplate has up and down as well as side to side adjustments, allowing it to align all cameras with various matte boxes and follow focus units. The Mini Baseplate is supplied with 12" female/female threaded rods.

The LWS gives you the ability to mount rods to the front of your camera so that you can attach matte boxes and follow focus units. This system was designed to be used with a wedge style tripod plate. Zacuto has taken this several steps further. This is the first universal lightweight support plate to work with all Sony, Panasonic, Canon and JVC cameras that use the wedge style tripod plate, meaning that one plate can be used for all cameras. When you get a new camera, you can still use the Z-LWS.

The Zephyr300 is Zacuto's 15mm lightweight support plate custom made for the Panasonic HPX300. It works in conjunction with a Quick-Release Tripod Plate (not included with the camera) and the actual stainless steel V-Wedge triangle from the HPX300 camera. Zephyr300 allows you to adjust the 15mm rods up, down, left & right to align your matte box to the lens on the camera. You can also mount a follow focus or lens support if desired. It has a unique long design, with an opening in the bottom which gives room for adjusting buttons in the lower front of the camera. This design is extremely lightweight yet very strong. Like all Zacuto products, it is made from the highest quality materials, built to the most extreme tolerances and backed with a lifetime warranty.
This is the only plate on the market for the NEW Panasonic HPX300, since Panasonic changed the way LWS plates mount to the bottom of their cameras. After attempting to make a spacer for the new Panasonic, we decided that it would simply be easier to make a custom Zephyr plate.

The Zeddie Wedgie, named by Philip Bloom, is for exclusive use with the Zacuto Universal Baseplate.It does not work on the Zacuto Mini Baseplate. It allows you to use the Zacuto Universal Baseplate and mount it to a VCT-U14 tripod wedge plate - an industry standard plate found on all full size Sony and Panasonic ENG camcorders.

The Z-balance was designed for long length, front heavy, camera packages. The Z-balance attaches to the 15mm lightweight rods from your camera’s baseplate. The Z-balance will attach to the tripod plate using a 3/8 16” and ¼ 20” screw. The Z-balance should be placed in front of your camera baseplate when the center of gravity is under the lens from adding weight to the front of the camera with accessories like a depth of field adaptor, follow focus, matte box, etc. The adjustability of the Z-balance makes it possible to balance a front heavy camera on your tripod properly.
