Zacuto’s DSLR Gunstock Shooters are locked, loaded, and ready to fire! After six months of using DSLR’s, Zacuto has made the next evolutionary leap by changing the way DSLR cameras will be used from this point forward. These Shooters are universal, quick-releasable, extremely lightweight and great for run ’n gun type shooting, as well as indie filmmaking. They also create the correct form factor for filmmaking by utilizing Zacuto’s Optical Viewfinder (Z-Finder) for precision focus.

All kits are light and easy to handle, which is critical for smooth movement and less user fatigue in both tripod and handheld use. The Gunstock Shooters come equipped with a shoulder strap for all day carrying, allowing users to go from ready position to shooting position within seconds. This also enables users to effortlessly move from tripod to handheld without a cut or interruption. The Shooters can be used with any 15mm lightweight accessories, follow focuses & matte boxes. They can also be used with or without counterbalance.

Our Sharp Shooter is our entry level Gunstock shooter. It uses our height adjustable Mini Baseplate and the Manfrotto quick release plate, allowing users to quickly get the camera off the baseplate. It also uses the Zacuto shoulder pad and the Z-finder, 3x magnification, Optical Diopter, allowing users to quickly get their eye in the viewfinder and the kit on their shoulder. The Sharp Shooter weighs 6.5 lbs and offers four points of physical contact.

RC4 Low-Profile Rectangular Quick Release Adapter

The Manfrotto 394 RC4 Low-Profile Rectangular Quick Release Adapter is designed to convert the mini baseplate or Universal baseplate to have a quick-release feature. This plate is essentially for use with DSLR cameras. It raises the DSLR camera to the correct height for use with matte boxes and follow focuses. This plate is supplied with 1/4"-20 and 3/8" camera fixing screws and 3271 Quick Release plate. It also has two built-in spirit levels. If this plate is being used on the mini-baseplate or universal baseplate, the z-spacer is not needed.

Please note: When ordering this plate from Zacuto, we modify the plate by adding a locking pin hole in the bottom of the plate to be used on our DSLR Gunstock Shooter rigs and DSLR Gorilla rigs.

H4n Handy Recorder

The Zoom H4n is a sophisticated portable handheld recorder with new features and improved user experience at every level. Zound 3/8

The Zound 3/8 is a quick release Zacuto mount used to mount any device with a ¼ 20” (or 3/8 16”with ¼ 20” to 3/8 16” adapter) screw hole to a 3/8 16” screw hole such as a cheese plate or the Zacuto MiniMounts or DoubleMount using a Zamerican arm. The Zound 3/8 is an excellent choice if you already own a DSLR gunstock shooter . This kit is particularly designed to mount a sound device but can also be used to mounts lights. For on-board monitors, we would recommend our Zonitor kits.

Zound Hotshoe

DSLR Remote Trigger

The FLEX is a patent-pending, handle mounted DSLR remote unit that triggers HD video start and stop recording for Canon 5D/7D. The FLEX’s unique gooseneck arm houses an optic to be positioned within line of sight to the remote sensor on the Canon cameras (transmits up to 1m away, 135deg spread).

Once positioned, the remote transmits a signal through the optic when the button is depressed. The arm can be extended up to 12" and coils down to approximately 3" in diameter.
